Touring venues is exciting, and a little overwhelming. It's easy to fall for a pretty room and forget to ask the practical questions that matter on the day. Here are five that cut through the noise.
1. What is actually included?
Tables, chairs, setup, cleanup, a bridal suite. These vary widely. Ask for the full list in writing so you can compare venues on the same terms instead of base price alone.
2. How many guests can it comfortably hold?
A capacity number on paper is not the same as a comfortable seated dinner with a dance floor. Ask what the room looks like at your real guest count. The Starlight Pavilion, for example, seats up to 170.
3. Can ceremony and reception happen here?
An all-in-one space means no travel, no second rental, and a smoother day. If a venue handles both, ask how the room transitions between them.
4. What does the timeline look like?
When can you arrive to set up? When does the night end? Knowing your access window shapes everything from vendor scheduling to your own getting-ready time.
5. What happens if plans change?
Ask about deposits, payment schedules, and date changes up front. A good venue will walk you through it plainly on your tour.
